About Heather Terrence, CAE

Heather Terrence is President of Pinpoint Governance Group and is a governance specialist and Certified Association Executive (CAE) with over 20 years of experience in non-profit organizations.  

Most recently, Heather spent nine months as Executive Director of the Canadian Security Association where she worked with the National Board of Directors to implement and further their new strategic plan.

As Vice President of Operations at Financial Planning Standards Council, she oversaw all administrative operations of FPSC including membership services, finance, information technology, HR and the project management office. Heather was the Corporate Secretary to the Board of Directors bringing FPSC’s governance infrastructure to an enviable level of excellence.

Heather is a natural collaborator that is passionate about policy writing and non-profit governance. She has worked with numerous boards and committees to develop and implement frameworks and policies in all pillars of a non-profit. 

Heather is a goal oriented, lifelong learner who earned a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Management  with Athabasca University in March 2018. She has been a member in good standing with the Canadian Society of Association Executives since 2002.  Heather currently sits on the Board of Directors at the Native Canadian Centre of Toronto.
